Diverter Damper for DeNOx
UP diverters are the best choices for DeNOx (SCR) applications in the hot and highly erosive environments, as these typically don't have any internal duct restraints in the fully open positions. The most common design is the toggle arm driven diverter. The design can be adapted to the usually limited space when carrying out retrofit measures. A lot of experience was gained during the retrofit phases of the German coal fired power plants in the 1980’s. Additionally, NPS supplied many customized diverter damper units, which were retrofitted to existing coal fired power plants in the USA.

Function:
- Diverts the flue gas coming from the boiler either to SCR or bypass side
- 100 % tight "man-safe" sealing
Advantages:
- Open/close, stepwise modulation and fast emergency closing duty
- High sealing forces due to toggle arm kinematics
- Design as an integral part of the duct arrangement, preventing erosion problems
